Factory Codes
I started a conversation about Factory codes at:
https://www.pyrocommunity.com/threads/factory-codes-and-other-case-markings.203/
Here's the list I've accumulated. If you see something in here that you think should not be listed publicly, let me know and I'll remove it from the public view.
The Factory codes are usually on the outside of the case packaging. They will look like this "43F108/127/17". The 43 is a province/location code (these sometimes change for the same factory). The number after the F is the factory code (108 in this case). I believe the 127 is a CIQ batch number (not tracking these). The 17 means it's from 2017. The year is important as some brands have product made in different factories in different years.
Most consumer products have factory codes printed on them. (I've seen a few NOABs and some Dominator pro lines that do not.) If it's repackaged in the USA, it might not have the factory codes on it as well. (I believe some of the Excalibur shells were/are? shipped in bulk and repackaged with the tubes in the USA. They did not have the codes on the new boxes.)
You can add products to the list by clicking on Add items to Factory Codes List. If you wanted to send a spreadsheet or text file instead, you can send the file to "pyro at duesman.net" (swapping the " at " to @). If you want to send a list, my master spreadsheet is the "By Factory" view with "Factory #, Factory Code, Product Brand, Product ID, Product Name (year)". If you send a list with that info in that order, I can just paste it into the list. If it's easier, you can just send me pictures of the case.
At the bottom of the spreadsheet are some other views sorted by Factory, Brand and Product. In the future as the list gets a little bigger, I might denote which items have changed or used multiple factories.
Depending on your browser you should be able to right click the spreadsheet (frame) and open it into a new window. It might be a little easier to view/scroll than in the smaller window (frame) below.
