Part 1

Here's a view of the right angle male-male pins attached to the 18M cue strip (for slat adapter), the 7 pin dupont connectors are female to female to extend all the cue connectors outside the case.

I found that breaking the 7 wire bundle into a 3+4 wire bundle made it easier to route the cables and less likely that they would get stuck when trying to re-attach the case.

I'm bringing the cables out of some of the holes for the 9V battery terminals. I removed one set of the terminals so I wouldn't have to drill holes in my 18M case.

I brought the cables out with the 1 pin dupont connectors on them. I later removed these and replaced them with the 7 pin dupont header connectors. (The black plastic dupont connectors have a little release that allows you to remove the pins and re-insert then into different sized dupont headers.) The 7 pin connectors would not fit through the battery opening that I routed my cables.

Here's a view of the 18M with the case closed back up. The 7 pin dupont connectors are installed.

A 7 pin connector will fit inside the battery door. But it would be hard to get all 3 of them and the wires to fit and still close the battery door.

I was able to get 2 of them to route and lay nicely, but the 3rd was just a little much. I didn't want force the cables into 90 degree turns. If you wanted to be able to detach the 18M from the case and use it as a stock 18M, you might be able to make them fit either by using shorter wires or removing all of the 9v battery terminals. I don't anticipate needing to disconnect/use without the case/slat adapter, so I didn't try very hard to make it fit with the battery door closed.

You could do the same mode without the Lipo, but you'd probably need to drill a hole for the wires to come out. You might want to use a little longer wires to make swapping batteries easier. With the lipo, I don't foresee needing to mess with it once it's installed.
