MM485 Rebox with Centronics Cable

Here's my 2nd flavor of reboxing the MM485 firing module. (I was lazy and took the pictures with my phone, so the quality is not the best.)

I used an Ace Heavy Duty centronics cable instead of the Salzman style connectors. Unfortunately, it's not easy to mount a female centronics connector on a case like this, so I went ghetto style and just have the cable coming out of the back. It will work for this unit, but if I make another, I'm going to try to get a female plug.

I brought the cable in from the back/bottom into the piece of wood. I drilled holes in the wood to allow the cables to come out on each side. I used some heat shrink tubing to group the wires to keep them organized.

Here's the back side. I'd rather have a female plug mounted on the case that the centronics cable would plug into.

It's harder to store/transport the case with a cable hanging out of it.

To avoid the extra battery connection, I added a small 12V SLA battery.
