Centronics Cable Adapter

Here's a view of the Ace Heavy Duty pyro cables. They are definitely heavy duty. Under the jacket is a nice dense braid that

protects the wires.

Here's a comparison of the Ace cables and some centronics cables from monoprice. The monoprice cables may work fine for connecting stuff, but they are pretty thin if you trying to take apart the cable and work with the wires.

Here's a view of my centronics/FireOne style to Salzman cable adapter. The Salzman rails are 15 Cues so I used one plug for cues 1-15, one plug for cues 16-30 and 2 speaker plugs for cues 31 and 32.

This was made from a 6' Ace pyro cable cut in half. The project box is from Radio Shack and the grommets are from Home Depot.

The Home Depot items are:

Non-Metallic 3/8" (1/2" KO) Clamp Connector for NM Cable. HALEX 20511 839-647 Qty 5.

Rigid 1/2" Platic insulating bushing HALEX 27520 619-053 Qty 4.

The Salzman connectors are AMP CPC (Circular Plastic) connectors.

The Radio shack project box came with a black lid and a metal lid (not shown in the pic).

This adapter will let me attach my Salzman style cables/rails to a FireOne style firing system.
